It 's always fun to go camping, but it's not fun not knowing what to prepare meals. Fish can be blackened, flaming trail mix and microwave box are 3 simple recipes and delicious as it prepares in nature and have a great meal.
Here are three recipes so that you can try at home:
1 Blackened Fish
Ingredients:
- 2 T paprika
- 2 T cayenne pepper
- 2 T white pepper
- 3 / 4 cup Creole seasoning
- 1 / 4 cup blackening seasoning
- 4-12 fish fillets
- 1 / 8 c butter (orMargarine)
Directions:
- Mix the spices. Coat the fillets with the mixture of spices.
- Melt the butter or margarine in a skillet on the stove cooking hot iron.
- Sear the fish for 1-2 minutes on each side, and seem to smoke or "blackened".
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and cover.
- The heat of the pan and finish cooking in about 10 minutes.
- The spices can be mixed at home and in an airtight container.
It's about 4 to 6.
2 Blazing Trail Mix
Ingredients:
- Mini squares 2 c Shredded Wheat or bran
- 1 c. thin pretzel sticks unsalted, cut into pieces
- 1 / 2 cup lentils, cooked
- 1 / 2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 / 2 cup raisins
- 1 / 2 cup chopped dried apples
- 1 / 4 cup honey
- 2 t curry powder
- 1 / 2 t coriander, ground
- Cumin 1 / 4 t ground
- 1 / 4 t pepper
- 1 / 8 t pepper, ground
Directions:
- 13x9-inch baking pan in a, add the corn orBran squares, pretzels, lentils, oats, raisins and apples.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, spices, curry, coriander, cumin, paprika and pepper.
- Drizzle honey mixture over cereal mixture.
- Toss evenly until coated. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Store in an airtight container or self-closing plastic bags.
Makes 8 cups or 16.
3 Box Oven
Ingredients:
- 1 Brick (or flat stone)
- 1 packageAluminum foil, Heavy-Duty
- 1 cardboard box
- A cake pan, metal, old
- 3 Hangers
- 4 coal briquettes, the lights
Directions:
- Cover the inside and outside of the box completely with 3 or 4 layers of aluminum foil, including the flaps. Lay the box flat so that the opening up oven style (front-door style is fine, too) will open.
- Set the hook, then run through the sides of the box about 2 / 3 of the way from the bottom up to form aRack.
- Set the tile floor. Place cake pan on hot coals / cake plate. Put the pan on brick (do not forget, the PIE PAN is hot! Use a potholder or hot pad).
- Put the food to clothes on the rack and close oven door to be cooked. Watch carefully, checking often. Each burning coal accounts for more than 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
